Luxe for Less: Chanel's vs. Steven Madden's Dad Sandals (+ How to Style Dad Sandals)
It is almost to the point where almost all of my shoes are by Steve Madden. Between living walking distance to a Steve Madden outlet store and the brand being on Hautelook at least once a month, what’s a girl to do?
This pair, however, I came across while on the actual Steve Madden website. As soon as I saw these quilted Dad sandals, I clicked “Add to cart” with no hesitation. Dad sandals and sneakers have been “in” for quite a few seasons and I decided it was my turn to jump aboard the train.
A few weeks later, I saw the Chanel version of the Dad sandals being reviewed on a few of the YouTube channels I subscribe to. Priced at $1225, I couldn’t help but to clutch my pearls! But hey, if you got might as well spend it. I, on the other hand, will stick to my $68 dupes from my man Steve.
Below I did a side-by-side comparison. The Chanel buttons are a dead give away that that pair are designer but I think the gold hardware of the SM dupes are just as beautiful.
