#24: MTV's House of Style is Back!
Who remembers when House of Style first premiered on MTV in 1989?
I don't. I was only two years old at the time!
But I do recall years later when Rebecca Romijn and Molly Sims were hosts of the show, following their predecessor Cindy Crawford. It was amazing taking apeak into the fashion industry at the hands of supermodels and seeing how music and fashion influence one another.
In 2012 the show was brought back after a 12 year hiatus, but with a few changes. Models Karlie Kloss and Joan Smalls were the first to host the now web-only series. Fast forward to 2014, MTV has stepped out its box and decided to really blur the lines of music and fashion with new host rapper Iggy Azalea in Season 2.
The Australian born model and recording artist is a perfect example of the MTV I remember from the 1990s. Rock-and-Roll. Sex appeal. Not giving a care about anyone's opinions or norms.
Le sigh. Oh, how I want that old thing back...

Is the show still relevant or should MTV producers go back to the drawing board?
