#74: I Support Black Owned Small Businesses Featuring @NikisGroove, @MaeBPaper & @LuvNaturals
I am all for supporting small businesses. I am all for supporting black owned businesses. Combine the two and I'm ready to swipe my debt card! It brings joy to my heart to see items that are made for me by people who look like me! With the exception of the hair products, the other two business owners I found on Instagram. Gotta love social media.
Nicholle Kobi of nichollekobi.com is a talented French illustrator and designer. Her artwork captures the essence of the black woman: her intelligence, her sexuality, her strength. Nicholle is expanding her line to also include t-shirts and sweatshirts which I plan to purchase a few of as well. Did I mention that everything on her Etsy shop is super affordable?! I can see myself adding a few more pieces to my collection soon.
Bianca Lambert created Mae B Paper Boutique in 2013 after seeing a void in the stationery world. Well, thank you for filling that empty space! I am in so in love with my journals. Please check out her site for mugs, calendars and more!
If you're an avid reader of ShalandaLeigh.com then you know of my obsession with LuvNaturals hair products. Can you imagine my excitement when I noticed the owner, Kim Love, had added three new products to the shop?! From the picture above you can see that I only have the hair and body butter and the hair acidifier as of now.
But behold! I have placed yet another order which will include the aloe gel. Reviews will be coming soon so stay tuned. Currently on the site there is a "Buy 4, Get the 5th Item Free" sale, so now is a great time to try the entire line plus a little something extra.
