Make Up Declutter & Transitioning to Cruelty Free Cosmetics - Primers
It's that time of year for a yet another make-up declutter. For me with the change of seasons is a reason to purge items from my closet and cosmetic stash.
What's different about this purge is that I want to support companies that don't test on animals. It's 2016 and I can't think of one logical reason why such practices should still occur. Now this first go round won't be perfect because there are a few products I won't want to let go of as of right now. It's all about progress people.
Today we are focusing on my face primers. As you can see I don't have too many - left to right:
1. Mirabella Beauty's Mirabella Prime for Face and Eyes
2. Benefit's The POREfessional
3. Becca's Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector
4. Pixi's Flawless & Poreless, M.A.C.'s Prep and Prime
5. Yu-Be's Moisturizing Skin Cream
TOSS:
The POREfessional was almost empty so I just rid of it. Sadly, Benefit is not cruelty free which means I won't be repurchasing this product.
I lost the cap to the Mirabella Prime so I decided to get rid of it as well. I fear that with the product being open as such it would be breeding ground for bacteria growth and well....that's not what I'm trying to put on my face. I'm not sure if Mirabella Beauty test on animals because the whole missing cap issue was driving me crazy that I just wanted it gone.
PASS:
This primer works well minus the fine shimmer/glitter in it. This is one M.A.C. product that I don't mind gifting to a friend.
These three products are all cruelty free! The Becca primer is a recent purchase and I still am learning how best to use it on my skin. The Pixi has been around for a while but I always overlooked it for the POREfessional. I guess now is it's time to shine. The Yu-Be Moisturizing Cream isn't a primer but it great night cream. I've already used up this sample and have re-purchased the full-size from Sephora.
Whew! Well that was easy. I hope the rest of the process is like this!
