A Less Expensive Dupe for the West Elm Delphine Buffet

As you all know I became a first time homeowner in 2018 and since then I’ve been obsessed with home decor. This condo is the first time in my life I’ve ever put in the effort to decorate and I am taking great pride in choosing each piece I bring into my space. Beginning with the dining room I knew that I wanted matching buffets. It was a decorative element that I just adored as it seemed to be present in most of pictures I’ve saved on my Pinterest mood boards.

In my online search for dining room buffets, I was very open when it came to color as long as the style was modern. When I saw the Delphine Buffer from West Elm, I instantly fell in love. It matched perfectly with my recently purchased dining room table and chairs. But then when I looked again and saw the $1600 price tag my heart was broken. Remember now, I wanted MATCHING buffets and paying close to $4000 (including taxes and delivery fees) wasn’t something I was comfortable with. To some that may not sound like much, but to a solo parent on a teacher’s salary and a not-so-clear vision on the end result of the dining room the final cost of the West Elm buffets was a bit steep.

What’s a girl to do? Well, if you know me personally, you know I love a challenge. I especially love challenges that include me finding less expensive dupes for things I’m coveting. So I headed over to Overstock.com, the same place I’d purchased my dining room table and chairs, and began yet another search. After just a few clicks, I discovered the Simple Living Stacy Mid-Century 2-Drawer Buffet. THE PERFECT DUPE! And it’s one-third of the price of the buffet from West Elm. I could order two buffets, as desired, from Overstock and still come out paying less than I would for just one at West Elm.

And that’s exactly what I did…

Update June 2021: Brought to my attention by my readers, the Simple Living Stacy Buffet is currently on back order. Here are some other dupes that you may like:

Just perfectly :) Although the lighting in the photos isn’t the greatest, trust me when I say that the all of these pieces match oh so cohesively!
