Summer Nail Trends for Brown Skin
In order to prepare for yet another change of the seasons, I thought today on the blog we should discuss something very important…Summer nail trends for us Brown Skin Beauties!
Of course manicured nails are a must year round but I feel that Summer is a time where we can really be playful and step outside of our comfort zone. Afraid to add color to your wardrobe? Try out a color you’ve been eyeing on your nails instead for a low maintenance trial run.
When it comes to perfect looking nails, you can use regular nail polish but I find it too tedious and waiting for my nails to dry is an absolute drag. There also the acrylic/gel/dip route but I find going to the salon to be both expensive and damaging to my nail beds.
At this point you’re probably wondering how does one participate in the fun and flirty summer nail trends?
Press-ons. Yep. That’s the secret. From wear of 7-14 days, you can try out a look with little commitment or debt. Glitter? Holographic? Crystals? Yes, please! I will delightfully take all three. The warmer months are perfect for letting your wild side take control…well with your manicure that it is. Want to stop traffic or signal a plane with a simple way of your hand? Okay, maybe not but the neon nail trend will catch the attention of those around you. A beaming yellow shade or high intensity orange just screams summer lunch date with unlimited mimosas.

My go to nail look is the classic French. But come June I’m ready for something a little more exciting like the colorful French. You can sport hues like that of a rainbow or keep it minimal with thinly painted stripes.

By now we’re heard about the infamous white nails during summer. I won’t go into details because I want to keep the post as family friendly as possible lol! But if you are dying to know, a quick Google search will answer any questions you may have. You’ve been warned though! I’ve tried white polish on my toes but have yet to try it on my nails. So of course I’m adding this one to the Summer Bucket list for 2021.
